We are almost at the end of the autumn term and the children are drifting between tiredness and huge excitement for our performance next week. We are so proud of how hard they have worked in getting to know all of the songs. We cannot wait to see them all dressed up in their costumes and performing for you all next week.
The children completed an end of unit maths assessment this week. It has provided us with valuable information about the areas to concentrate on when we return in January. We will look at fact families again as well as follow up on recognising the greater than and less than symbols.
In English have been learning about adjectives and how they can make our writing more interesting. We have used this new skill to write about our winter art collages we made this week. We used a variety of techniques including scrunching, tearing and cutting the paper to get a great finished look.
In computing this week we did a recap about how to stay SMART online. The children discussed the importance of having a trusted adult nearby when using the internet and we talked about ‘Kiddle’ again, a children’s version of Google, which can be used when looking for things online.
In Spanish, we have been learning general day to day phrases including hello, goodbye, please and thank you. Some of us have been using these new skills when answering the register in the morning!
